Our Testimonials

When you have animals in your family going away can be really tricky as you want them to have the very best care in your absence. Going away and leaving rabbits is even more challenging as there are very few boarding opportunities that offer everything that bunnies need. I would 100% recommend letting Ivy Dene Rabbit Rescue take care of your rabbits whilst you are on holiday, indeed I wouldn’t leave them anywhere else! They have a really good-sized space and are cared for by a rabbit expert who does so much more for them just leave out food and clean up after them! I know that my rabbits were really loved on their holiday and were relaxed and happy. I surprised myself that I didn’t worry about them one bit and got regular updates and photos and even videos of how they were doing, which meant I didn’t miss them quite so much!

The forage walks have been an absolute game changer for me. I have been to three of them now, and have learned so much about wild forage to feed my rabbits. No more veggies! Beth, Rob and Yasmin are so knowledgeable and amazing at guiding you through rabbit safe plants. I felt totally confident after these walks to forage independently for my bunnies. Always a lovely walk in Kirkstall and so much fun meeting like minded people.

I have attended two of Ivy Denes tea parties. They are so much fun. So much care and preparation goes in to making the afternoons enjoyable for everyone, from the beautiful spread of vegan food down to the games and freshly picked forage displays. I love going and meeting new people and talking about rabbits to my hearts content, whilst at the same time supporting a wonderful cause. Can’t wait for the next one!

My rabbits boarded with Beth for several of my holidays over the space of two years. I honestly can’t think of a better place for them to have stayed. Knowing how sensitive rabbits are (and particularly mine) Going away for me was always so stressful. I used to have to leave them at home with 2x a day visits and I just worried constantly about them. When they were at Ivy Dene I could actually relax on holiday knowing that they were receiving the best possible care, love and attention. The rabbits that get to board with Rob and Beth are in impeccably safe hands.

I have been a long term rabbit owner but am delighted with the new bonded pair of sisters I have had from Ivy Dene Rabbit Rescue. I feel encouraged to stretch my knowledge of rabbit keeping and really up my game in terms of giving my 2 new buns the best life possible. All the communication leading up to the adoption was wonderful and I have a sense that my pair were so loved in the rescue and that Beth and the team really want to know how they are getting on. Any questions I have I know I can ask Beth and I am really enjoying being part of the Ivy Dene Rabbit community. My rabbits were already spayed and vaccinated and our adoption pack had some helpful goodies in it!

I adopted Mae from Ivy Dene and bonded her with my existing pair. Beth was amazing at talking through the personalities of different rabbits under her care at the rescue to try matchmake a successful bond. She provided lots of information and support with bonding and still takes time to answer my queries. Beth clearly cares FOREVER about the rabbits she rehomes and it’s so lovely to see that care and commitment and have her ongoing support. We love all aspects of Ivy Dene including events and forage walks and homemade treats sold in support of the rescue. If you’re thinking of adopting I’d 1000% recommend talking to Beth - her process is absolutely the best way to build happy lives for your buns.

Beth’s knowledge and experience with rabbits is second to none, she has been so informative with any questions I’ve raised.
We adopted a bun from her in April & I’m so glad we did. She talked me through every experience we had, highly recommended!

My partner and I have recently adopted a lovely bunny as a friend for our bun bun. The lady who runs the rescue is absolutely amazing. We weren’t hugely confident with bonding our rabbit, but she talked us through everything and during the bonding process she answered all of our questions. She has been immeasurably kind and patient with us. I honestly cannot thank her enough.

Beth is amazing and so supportive. Never had happier bunnies and therefore happier me!

I absolutely cannot recommend Ivy Dene Rabbit Rescue enough! We adopted our lovely little Dora from the rescue to bond with our solo rabbit Mac. Beth was so thorough with us, which reassured us that the adoption process was detailed and Beth really cared about the welfare of the rabbits. Once we adopted Dora, Beth was always on hand for my many messages and questions, and even now - almost 6 months on - is always happy to help if I need any advice! Beth provided so much information for us, educated me kindly on things I didn’t know, and just genuinely cared so much about Dora and rabbit welfare in general. We have plans to use the boarding services in the not too distant future and I have absolutely no worries or concerns - I’m actually looking forward to not having to worry about the bunnies for two weeks - not because I don’t care but because I know they will be looked after to the highest standard. The work that Beth and Ivy Dene do is incredible. I cannot thank them enough. It is because of them that out little lady Dora has her forever home with us.

We adopted our beautiful girl Greta from the rescue and she has been nothing but a joy!! We’ve had our bumps along the way in bonding her with my other rabbit and Beth has been there in support 100% of the way, then an unexpected addition to the family which pushed our bonding process back even more, 19th March 2021 will hopefully be the beginning to all our bunny’s being happy together. After hearing Greta’s back story I think myself and Lorna have come very overprotective of her, She is our precious little girl and I wouldn’t change her for the world, I pray this bond goes well for her because she deserves the world and more. Beth has been so amazing through everything good and bad and I would recommend her to everyone that’s looking for some bunny’s, She is a very busy woman but is always there if you need any advice, Never in my life have I seen someone so passionate about taking care of something they love as much as Beth cares for these Rabbits, It’s inspiring.

I approached a number of rescue centres when I was looking to adopt a pair of rabbits. Beth impressed me with her approach to the process such that I knew I wanted to adopt rabbits in her care. Beth told me about a trio of boys she felt would be suitable for me. Whilst I immediately fell in love with them, I was concerned it might be a little too much for me being a first time bun-mum, but Beth was happy to answer all of my questions which helped ease my concerns. When I made the decision to adopt the boys, Beth was happy to continue looking after them until I finished getting their new home set up and she provided me with updates which was very thoughtful. They boys have been with me for a month now and Beth‘s continues to offer advice when I need it which I have found very reassuring. Whilst I have done lots of research on caring for rabbits, it is good to know Beth will always respond to any specific questions I have. Beth has also shown a genuine interest in how the boys are settling in which I think is lovely. I am very grateful for everything Beth has done for Meadow, Oakley and Woody (previously known as Bambi, Fawn and Moki). She works selflessly with the welfare of rabbits at the forefront of her mind – thanks for all that you do!

When we sadly lost one of our rabbits, we were looking for a new friend for the bonded partner. Beth was fantastic from start to finish. I love that she is so thorough with the adoption process to make sure every single rabbit gets the best home. She is not afraid to challenge and also takes the time to support and advise, with great kindness and skill. Beth suggested the rabbits she thought would be a good personality match for our boy, and bonded him on the first attempt. She sent us updates and photos, which was lovely. The two of them have been inseparable ever since. Our adopted bunny can nip at times, and Beth asked if we were OK with a slightly more tricky start with him. We wouldn’t change him for the world, he fits in well in our home and we are working patiently to build his trust. All this bunny needs is love and patience, and I’m grateful that Beth chose us to offer that. The support didn’t end after we brought our bunny home. Beth has always been responsive to messages and checks in to see how we are getting on. She really can’t do enough to help rabbits and their owners. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose Ivy Dene again if I was adopting another rabbit.

Absolutely amazing rescue!! Couldn’t recommend anyone better in and around leeds! The work Beth does is amazing and she has been so supportive of us throughout our bonding process! Our little Greta is just the sweetest rabbit in the world and I wouldn’t change her for anything! Anyone looking at adopting a rabbit should definitely look here!

I can’t recommend Ivy Dene enough! I wanted to adopt a friend for my solo bunny, and the residential bonding and adoption service offered here was amazing. Beth knows so much about rabbits and you can see she really cares. She puts so much time and effort in with the bonding process making sure that your rabbit finds the perfect match. Beth was so helpful throughout the process and has offered great aftercare giving me regular advice since taking my bunnies home (as I’m new to bunnies).
I would highly recommend using Ivy Dene if you’re wanting to find a friend for your lonely solo bunny or wanting to adopt a pair / trio of rabbits. Ivy Dene also offers boarding, and I can’t think of a safer, more reliable pair of hands to leave your bunnies in! I will certainly be using this service if my bunnies ever need to be looked after.

Beth at Ivy Dene was incredibly supportive throughout my adoption journey. Always ensuring that the rabbits best interest and wellbeing are first. She is professional and very informative! Not only has she put the rabbits first and allowed me to adopt (after house checks etc) she’s given me someone to love and care for. I love my babies and ensure they are living their best life! They have already given me so much back, more than they will ever know. I’m so thankful for Beth in educating me to be the best rabbit mum possible. I can ensure you they are worshipped beyond belief. Thank you for your continued support and care.

After having so much trouble trying to bond my girl Snowball with different rabbits and failing multiple times, Beth managed to bond Snowball with my new boy Bruno who I got in October! I’m absolutely over the moon as I thought Snowball would be alone forever and I’d have to find Bruno a new home! Her knowledge and skills are second to none and she cares so much about the welfare of rabbits! If you ever need advice, help or a new friend for your furbaby, Beth is the one to call! She is now known as ‘Aunty Beth’ to my babies and they enjoy seeing her!

I’ve used Ivy Dene for an adoption (the lovely Blackberry) where she was quickly bonded to my little rabbit Turnip. They’re still a very happy couple. I’ve also boarded my other rabbits there because I know they’ll be looked after as well, if not better, than they would be at home with me. I know any rabbits there will be treated with the highest standards of welfare.

Beth is such a lovely person, the rabbits are all clearly looked after and happy. When she boards my bunnies, they always seem unimpressed about coming home and would rather stay on their holidays.

Such a lovely lady, we needed help rehoming our much loved rabbits. We didn’t take this decision lightly and contacted a rescue as we didn’t want to rehome them with just anyone. Ivy Dene Rescue have been great and so hopeful, we feel confident that we can give our bunnies a better life and that’s all we’ve wanted for them. Thank you so much we are beyond grateful for your help.

Beth did a great job of bonding our single female Willow with a male companion. As we know rabbits are very sensitive animals and in the last couple of days Willow went into the early stages of gut stasis. Beth recognised this almost straight away and took her to the vets late at night, and also the following day. It put my mind at rest knowing she was in safe hands. Willow has now made a full recovery and is living happily with her new husbun Joey. Thank you.

Francis, my mini lop was coming up to a year old, so I thought it was a good time to introduce him to a lady for company. Beth suggested we bond him with one of her rescues who was a beautiful mini lop who’s previous owner didn’t have the time. Beth knew her nature, temperament and thought she would be a good match. Beth was so knowledgeable and patient and talked me through everything that was to be expected from bonding, and really put my mind as ease! The bonding process was as stress free as possible, and they have come out after a week absolutely besotted with each other. I’m so happy I adopted from Beth, she is a natural!

Ivy Dene helped us rebond our existing pair after illness had caused them to have a major falling out. We also added one of their buns who was looking for a home (Pumpkin) into our group. Beth was incredible from start to finish with updates and information. We now regularly board our bunnies with her, and use her for grooming services, and our bunnies love being with her in their home away from home.

Buns had the long grooming package and rearguard application done with pick-up service. I was kept updated and was given a note with the check up details, pamphlet and discount card when he was returned. Would highly recommend! Very happy with the results

I took Rubble to Beth for the first time yesterday for the grooming package! She was brilliant and quick! Social distancing maintained and followed up with a message telling me everything she had done and checked. We will definitely be back
